Drive through sandhill country towards Kings Canyon , stopping for breakfast at Kings Creek Station (own expense) along the way. Continue on to Watarrka National Park where you can make the rocky climb with your Guide to the rim of Kings Canyon to be rewarded with marvellous views. The climb may take up to 3 hours and is for those with a good level of fitness. Alternatively, you may wish to explore the boulder-strewn canyon floor, an easier walk. After lunch (own expense) we continue to Alice Springs.

Rock Sunrise and Climb Tour
Travel
to the sunrise viewing area and watch the first sunlight of
the day creep across the desert plains and Uluru (Ayers Rock)
whilst enjoying a warming cup of tea,coffee or milo and biscuits.
Commence the climb to the top of the monolith, for spectacular
views. The climb takes about two hours and is recommended
for those with a good level of fitness. Please wear sturdy
walking shoes, a sun hat and carry plenty of water. Alternatively,
non-climbers can choose to take a peaceful stroll along the
Mala walk. The Mala Walk winds itself among the bloodwood
trees alongside Uluru. It leads to the magnificent Kantju
Gorge, a 90 metre drop that becomes an amazing sight when
there is enough rain to create a waterfall. Return to Ayers
Rock Resort.
NOTE: Anangu, Traditional
Owners, would prefer that visitors choose not to climb Uluru.

Tjuta Valley of the Winds Walk and BBQ

afternoon your guide will escort you on a 2-3 hour walk through
the Kata Tjuta domes to the Valley of the Winds lookout. The
walking path is rocky, and requires a good level of fitness.
After the walk, take in a magnificent 'outback' sunset over
Kata Tjuta. Refresh yourself with a glass of sparkling wine
and nibbles. Travel to our exclusive BBQ venue to enjoy a
traditional Australian barbecue dinner consisting of steak,
sausages, kangaroo meat, salads and bread, complemented by
Australian sparkling wine. There is time for stargazing too
(weather permitting). Tea and coffee provided. Enquire about

Note: During the hotter months of the year the National Park
Rangers may preclude access to the Valley of the Winds lookout.

Uluru
(Ayers Rock), Kata Tjuta Cultural Experience
This tour includes a morning Uluru Cultural Tour combined with our afternoon Kata Tjuta and Uluru Sunset Tour.
This cultural experience begins with sunrise at Uluru followed by breakfast at the Cultural Centre. Later, join your Aboriginal guides for the Liru tour, a walk from the Cultural Centre to the base of Uluru. Retrace the path of the Liru ancestors through bushland unique to Uluru. Learn how to throw a spear and about ancient bush skills such as making kiti (bush glue) and carving wooden tools. Hear traditional stories relating to this special place. After the morning tour you will be returned to your hotel for free time at Ayers Rock Resort.
This afternoon visit the massive series of domes known as Kata Tjuta. The walking trail through Walpa Gorge follows the natural creek between two domes of Kata Tjuta. In the late afternoon we arrive at the Uluru - sunset viewing area to witness and photograph the striking colour changes that can take place on Uluru whilst enjoying nibbles and a glass of wine. (B)
